Bell Shakespeare – Walsh Bay Arts Precinct

Maxwood Technology was engaged to deliver 275-seat mobile retractable theatre seating that allows Bell Shakespeare to configure their theatre to suit a wide range of programming needs.

The flexible system enables fast transitions between end-stage, thrust, in-the-round, flat-floor rehearsal and event modes, supporting a highly adaptable performance environment. Quiet operation, clear sightlines and comfortable viewing help maintain the intimate atmosphere audiences value while giving the venue the freedom to evolve with each production.

Maxwood was also engaged to install 500 sq/m sprung sports flooring to support performer comfort, movement and safety.
