Chevalier College Performing Arts Centre

Chevalier College, a prestigious private school in the Southern Highlands of NSW, set out to create a premium, flexible space that could function as both a performing arts venue and a school auditorium.

Maxwood Technology delivered this vision by installing commercial-grade fully upholstered Accolade Chairs, combining the comfort and refined aesthetic of a professional venue with the strength required to withstand years of daily school use. Thoughtful seating design ensures excellent sight lines for school performances or lectures when the space is configured in auditorium mode.

A sprung ‘sacrificial’ drama floor was also installed, allowing the top layer to be easily repaired or replaced making it easy and practical to maintain.

The result is a sophisticated, multi-functional space that feels premium yet is robust enough to handle the demands of everyday school life and a busy performing arts programme
